Reticules were a popular drawstring bag or purse worn around the wrist by women in the 19th century used to carry coins, calling cards, and hankercheifs! They were later popularized by the flappers in the 1920's who would then use them to carry their lipstick as well as other objects of scandal.
The floral one is likely from the late 19th century while the gold is from the 1920's. The gold one has had its drawstring replaced but both are in exquisite condition and are hand beaded to perfection!
Beads may be loose so please handle gently.
Disclaimer: As this is a genuine vintage item, the fibers may not be as robust as a modern garment. I have done my best to note any stains, wear, breakage or missing pieces in the description but please note garments are in no way new
